Our 2014 production is the two hand play by Amy Rosenthal, Henna Night.
When Judith leaves her ex-boyfriend a desperate message on his answering machine telling him that she is about to end her life (or dye her hair!) oh, and she might be pregnant, little does she know how one evening is about to change her life.
Instead of being greeted by the ex, it’s his new girlfriend, Ros, who comes to her rescue. An evening of emotion, combined with subtle humour ensures that the two women, despite their differences and rivalry, find friendship and gain something positive from each other.
“It’s so nice to see a play with two strong females leads. Hannah Lloyd and Emma MacNab have a chemistry that sparkles and I can’t wait to see them together again!” El Edwards

“Hannah Lloyd and Emma Macnab, given the unenviable task of carrying the show on their shoulders, rose to the challenge; with both actresses very good at portraying the flaws and strengths of two very different women” – Young Critic Reviewer
“A sharp comedy that had some important themes and had some wry jokes and talented actresses, and felt, like it should have, as a snapshot easily lifted from reality.”
– Lois Arcari (Reviewer)
In the audience tonight with friends and family: loved it! What a great little script full of gut wrenching emotions at times but then with some just brilliant one-liner responses that guaranteed audience engagement!
