Proverb-based production explores freedom of expression.
Deep in the forest, a hunter finds a skull. He steps on the skull and it speaks: “my mouth brought me here”.
Based on the African proverb, and the poetry of Eric Ngalle Charles, ‘My Mouth Brought Me Here’ features a power-hungry ruler, a few foolish guards and a courageous hunter in a world in which telling the truth has become a game – and no one knows the rules.
The production is brought to life with live music and enchanting story-telling.
We were delighted to be given the opportunity to perform My Mouth Brought Me Here at the Southbank Centre, London and perform #inthedome. As always our deepest thanks to Eric Ngalle Charels, Black Entertainment Wales, Good Chance Theatre company and the London Southbank Centre.
